Small BGF, ill for a couple of days. I noticed it scraping its side along some of the wood in the tank - it looked like it had some white fungus (maybe) on it's side - and then it started to literally hang in a plastic plant we've got. It'll move a bit, but for the most part stays there or in a hollow piece of wood we've got. We've had it for a couple of weeks, and I just checked the water - everything is ok. The bottom fin has been fraying - yesterday it was just a small area, today it looks like the whole thing has frayed. I think it's eating - we feed flake food, plus shimp & worms. Lg tank, other community fish seem ok. Any advice? and thanks!

Hey sounds like your bgk has ich... to get rid of it first you should isolate it in a seprate tank if possible. then you should raise the temp to the high 80s and that the same rate make sure enough air gets into the water by either one of those bubble makers or by haveing the filter out of the water enough that it drags air in with the water as it flows back in... you should see the little air bubles.. this is cause the fish have a harder time breathing in the warmer water.. the next step would be to ut a recomended amount of salt in what i think it is a table spoon for every 5 gal.. if nothing wrong then i would half that for the bgk but beach it has ich i would put in the full recomendation.. that should hel get rid of it they also have medications but if you do choose to use one half the dose being that this scaleless fish is very sensitive.. i i was of any help..

Thanks, thats kind of what i figured. Everything I've read though says that they are very sensitive to salt...so i think i'll forgo that step.
