Hi guy's, Hope you can help me out on this one. I've dug up all I can on ghosts but been unable to find out how fast the little fellers grow. I'm just about to recieve three young BGKs for my new tank set-up. I already have a 5" BGK who i've been keeping for over a year now. The one thing I can't seem to find out is how quickly they grow. I've almost got enough tanks to set up my own fish house so space isn't a problem. When they arrive my plan is to move them to my shiny new species tank to see if I have a friendly group. If not 120 g should give them plenty of space for the now. Just wondering how long till they grow up big?

if ABGKs are like every other knife then FAST!
As an example my clown was about 3" when bought 3years ago and is now about 12or13"

I bought mine 2 months ago at about 4"-4 1/2" long. In 2 months, he stretched out to about 61/2 - 7". I consider that pretty fast growth. But that's just my own experience.

I think it depends on the individual fish, and especially how much and often you feed them and if the food is high in Protein or not.

The other important factor with fish growth is water quality. If water quality is poor expect poor growth, but if it is good growth will be quick. In my experience anyway. Hope this helps. Cheers, Bryce.
