I went to a LFS by my work and he had 4 bgk's in a 10 gallon tank for $10.98 US dollars each. Is that safe? I found it because I was looking to get another bkg for another tank I was setting up. I currently have one in a 40g tank.
Thanks.

My LFS stocks up to 20 small (6-10 cm) BGK's in one tank at a time with no caves or hiding holes and they appear non agressive towards one another - possibly they are too consumed with trying to hide under the thermostat or otherwise avoid the light!?

Well, people keep BGKs with each other and I have seen one person personally keep 3 BGKs. 2 small onles about 3-4 inches and one big BGK about 7 inches
No harm done to any of them and they dont seem to bother each other.

I've now got four BGK's in the same tank. Two small fish <3" and two larger 6" and 7".
Apart from a few dominance issues when they were all introduced they seem to have settled down fine. I think it is just a case of each individual fish.
Buck, the largest, is obviously king of the roost but he will let the smaller fish into his cave and even share his food.
Ella, the next biggest is a bit more territorial but she normally just butts the opthers out of the way and so far nothing has come to a serious fight.
The important thing is to have a spare tank that you can move a fish into if it becomes agressive. Some people cant stand to be in the same room as one another.
I think its the same for some fish.
